Translucent Buckram and Semi Sheer Fabric Challenge
Challenge: Semi sheer textured panels that were 108” wide and 103” finished length. There was just enough width to do a Euro hem and a 4”header. How to do this and have a finished professional look?

Solution:
· Cut off the selvage of the fabric on the top edge.
· Pin the buckram to the fabric.

· Serge the buckram to the wrong side of the semi sheer and turn over for the 4” header.

Translucent buckram is usually a bit stiff and ornery to work with but serging it to the fabric first gives total control over the buckram and fabric. When working with semi-sheer fabrics, using translucent buckram can help maintain the fabric's delicate appearance while providing the desired level of stiffness or structure.
